Sara Gruen Tells Us Where To Find Her In 'WFE'.. Next To Rob!

Water for Elephants author Sara Gruen recently talked to USA Today, and shared a key detail about her participation in the film adaptation of her novel. She specifically mentioned in what scene she is making a cameo in, and it involves Rob:
Gruen, her husband and three sons were cast as extras in a scene in which the circus performers and animals parade down the streets in Weehawken, N.J.

"We retook that scene I think 18 times," Gruen recalls. "I'm the one Rob Pattinson (who plays veterinarian Jacob Jankowski) elbows past and says, 'Excuse me, ma'am' to."

So now we know where to look for her! - Read the rest of her interview that includes details on why 'Rosie' the elephant was so smitten with her at USA Today.

Gruen is busy promoting her new book 'Ape House' that comes out September 7. And our favorite quote from her this week, comes from an interview she gave the DesMoinesRegister.com. It talks not only about animal connections, but human ones too:
Foremost, Gruen wanted to raise awareness of bonobos, their dwindling numbers and how we treat them. But she’d like the book to make people think how we treat each other.

“Our need for instant gratification, Twitter and Facebook, creating false friendships and exchanging information with people we never met, makes it much easier to be bad to each other,” she said.

We hope she gets her message across.
